GOSPEL SUMMARY
In a community that is often overlooked or known for its struggles, the Gospel reminds us that every person is deeply valued by God.
Through Jesus Christ, we are given new life, hope, purpose, and belonging.
Every person matters. Every gift, story, and expression has a place in God’s family.
Though we come from different backgrounds, cultures, experiences, and struggles, Christ brings us together as one body. Through the work of the Holy Spirit, He transforms lives and forms us into a living witness of His grace, love, and hope.
A Church of Disciples Making Disciples
The Gospel calls us not only to follow Jesus personally, but to help others follow Him as well.
At Berkeley Life Centre, we seek to grow through:
• One-to-one discipleship relationships
• Mentoring and pastoral support
• Prayer partnerships
• Spiritual encouragement and care
• Walking alongside one another in faith
Our vision is for discipleship to be shared across the whole church community, as people mature in Christ and begin encouraging, caring for, and discipling others.
A Gospel Presence in the Community
Berkeley Life Centre has a unique calling within our community.
God has placed us here not only to gather for church services, but to share the love and hope of Jesus with the people of Berkeley.
Through our Op Shop ministry, food support programs, practical care, community conversations, and relationships, we seek to reflect the compassion and truth of Christ.
We recognise that many in our community carry burdens such as loneliness, addiction, trauma, financial hardship, family breakdown, and spiritual uncertainty.
We desire Berkeley Life Centre to remain a place where people encounter both truth and grace.
One Body in Christ
We see Berkeley Life Centre as a Spirit-led choir.
Christ is our conductor and the melody at the centre of all we do.
Our many gifts, cultures, stories, and ministries come together in harmony as one body, becoming a living witness to God’s love in the heart of Berkeley.
